Zigi Shipper Death, Obituary – It came as a shock to me when I found out that Zigi Shipper had halted operations, and ever since I’ve had the feeling that there’s a weight bearing down on my chest. An extraordinary person who, by being honest and forthright about the experiences that he has had, has been able to have a positive impact on the lives of a substantial number of other people and make a difference in the world that these people live in. This remarkable person has been able to do this by sharing his story. His message, which can be summed up by the words “Do not hate,” is just as potent today as it was when he first started expressing it many years ago.
Do not hate is a good way to sum up his message. A classmate of mine from Elgin High School who will be remembered forever as a figure shrouded in shame @ Members of Parliament from the United Kingdom paid their tribute to the man who had survived both Auschwitz-Birkenau and Stutthof before he passed away on his 93rd birthday. He had passed away on the same day that would have been his 93rd birthday. He had passed away on the day that would have been his 93rd birthday, but he never got the chance to celebrate it. He had been able to survive his time spent in each of the concentration camps. Everyone who went to Elgin High School will always warmly recall his legacy. This sentiment will not change for as long as the school exists.
