
Wallace Perry Obituary, Death – On January 15, 2023, in the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky, Wallace Perry, who was 72 years old and originally from Delbarton, West Virginia, passed away. He was buried in Pikeville Cemetery. On January 26, 1950, Wallace Perry Gee made his debut into the world in Logan, West Virginia. He is the son of the late Alex Perry and Allene Gee Perry, who both predeceased him. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his four brothers and one sister: Arthur Earnest Perry, James Perry, Jack Perry, and Rosa Faye Baisden. His grandparents also passed away before him. In addition, he was predeceased by his niece Ashley Dawn Sipple and her husband Hillary Staggs, as well as his nephews Hayden Russell and Joe Baisden.
After serving in the United States Air Force, Wallace went on to become an accountant for the Old Ben Coal Corporation, where he remained until his retirement. Additionally, he had a career in the armed forces. Surviving members of the family include one son, Gary Lee Perry (and his wife, Belinda), who lives in Columbus, Ohio; one step son, Shane Muncy, who lives in Lovely, Kentucky; siblings Ewing Walter Gee (and his wife, Martha), who lives in Bull Head City, Arizona; Mary Helen Taylor, who lives in Danville, Kentucky; and Louise Runyon, who lives in St. Petersburg, Florida; one grandson, Jager Perry, who also lives in Columbus, Ohio; and On Wednesday, January 18, 2023, the chapel of the R. E. Rogers Funeral Home will be open for visitors from six o’clock in the evening until nine o’clock that night. After this, funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2023, beginning at 11 AM, with Roger Ooten serving as the officiant for the ceremony. The Maynard Cemetery in Fort Gay, West Virginia, will be the location of his interment, and members of his family and close friends will serve as pallbearers at the ceremony. The R. E. Rogers Funeral Home in Belfry, Kentucky is providing assistance to the Perry family at this difficult time.
