Vivian Denmark Obituary, Death – Gibson, Vivian Connelly Vivian Connelly DENMARK, SC – Mrs. Vivian Connelly Gibson, who was originally from Denmark, South Carolina, passed away at the Orangeburg Regional Medical Center on January 27, 2022. She had reached the age of 72. Mrs. Gibson was a local of Branchville, which is located in the state of South Carolina. She was the daughter of Dorothy Bright, who passed away, and Robert L. Connelly, who also passed away. She was a medical laboratory technician who spent 17 years working at Hampton General Hospital after graduating from Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College with a degree in the field. After that, she worked her way up to the position of Lab Supervisor at the Lowcountry Medical Group in Beaufort, the Medical Associates in Charleston, the Bamberg County Hospital, and the Colleton Medical Center. After being diagnosed with breast cancer, she decided to give up her professional career.

She attended the Bethel Park United Methodist Church in Denmark, where she was a member. Vivian never met a stranger. Her two sons, Samuel Lawrence Ayers (Jan) of Clemson, South Carolina, and Joseph Christopher Ayers of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, as well as her four grandchildren, Ashlea Cox (Nathan), Kristin Ayers, John Robert Ayers, and Connelly Ayers, will always fondly remember their grandmother. In addition to that, her brother, Thomas Connelly (Sallie), and her sister-in-law, Faye Connelly. Additionally, her aunt, who goes by the name Arizona Bright, and a large number of adoring relatives, nieces, and nephews.

Her parents, her husband of seven years, Franklin Delano Gibson, as well as her brothers, Robert Mills Connelly and Donald Connelly, all passed away before Vivian. Funeral services will be performed at the Dukes-Bryant Family Cemetery in Reevesville, South Carolina, at three o’clock in the afternoon on Sunday, January 30, 2022. Reevesville is located in Dorchester County, South Carolina. The Reverend Dwight Brazzle and the Reverend Terry Roof will be the ones to perform the ceremony as the officiants. The family has decided not to hold a visitation or reception before to the service. The arrangements are being handled by Ott Funeral Home, which is located in Branchville, South Carolina.
