Tony Ponsiglione Obituary, Death – On Friday, January 13, 2019, retired lieutenant Tony Ponsiglione lost his battle with lung cancer after a long and courageous fight. We are sorry to be the ones to break the news to you, but he has passed away. It is with a heavy heart that we do so. Over the course of the previous three years, he had been engaged in a fruitless struggle against the repercussions of the disease. When we located him, he was well into his eightieth decade of life. He had lived for a very long time. According to his son Anthony, who is the one who informed us of this information, the family had the intention of keeping his illness a secret for the maximum number of years that were possible.
This information was disclosed to us by his son. This was the dream that his grandfather had for the family. While he was receiving hospice care in Yuma, Arizona, where he had been living at the time of his passing, he passed away. He had been in Yuma at the time of his passing. It had been some time since he had been there. Everyone in the community of people who work in law enforcement will grieve his loss of him greatly because he was not only a wonderful friend but also a fellow officer in the group. Regularly keeping the Ponsiglione family in our thoughts and prayers as this trying time drags on is something that we are doing because it is important to us.
His son is compiling a memorial book for his family, and he would really appreciate it if any of his friends or family members could contribute some humorous anecdotes to the book. The book will be dedicated to the memory of his father. He expresses his gratitude to you in advance for giving this request some thought. I would very much appreciate it if you could get in touch with his son in the event that you have any tales or anecdotes that you would like to relate to me.
