Sue Davies Death, Obituary – On Friday, one of my most devoted supporters, Sue Davies, lost her long-running battle with cancer. She had been battling the disease for quite some time. The news of her passing hit me like a ton of bricks. She took a chance on me when I was just a young girl from the Isle of Man with big aspirations nine years ago. I had big aspirations. She had faith in each and every one of us. We were fortunate enough to have one of our dreams come true the summer before last.
Taking home the individual gold medal at the World Championships on Banzai Du Loir, which Sue and her daughter Janette own and ride together. I will treasure the memory of Sue cheering me on from the sidelines for the rest of my life because it is one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. Her accomplishments in the world of equestrian competition speak for themselves in terms of the significance they have brought to the sport. Her horses and the riders who have ridden them have achieved remarkable success over the years. We cannot express how happy we are to have played such a significant part in that.
