On Friday, January 13, 2023, he died away painlessly and peacefully without putting up any resistance.

Steve’s tenure as a volunteer with our organization officially started on February 5th, 2002. In addition to that, he was volunteering his time with the Charles County Mobile Intensive Care Unit at the same time. In total, he contributed a considerable quantity of work to our department, which equated to several hours’ worth of his time. Within our company, he had a number of responsibilities before ascending the ranks to become the Chief of Emergency Medical Services in 2004 and the Chief of the Fire Department in 2009.
