CHIPLEY, FLA – As a result of an altercation with officers from the Chipley Police Department that took place earlier that day at the Walmart in Chipley, a man was shot there on Wednesday afternoon. The altercation took place at the store earlier that day. The argument started earlier that day at the company, where it was taking place. Chipley’s Chief of Police, Scott Thompson, has said that the investigation is still active and that police are still attempting to gain a better understanding of the incident’s many different features and circumstances. This remark was made in a conversation that took place not long ago with a reporter from News 13 in Chipley, Florida.
The fight that broke out did not result in any injuries to any of the other people or parties that were engaged. It was necessary for there to be a sizeable presence of law enforcement officials at the place in order for them to be able to fulfill their responsibilities. The officials that were questioned have stated that there is now no danger to the general population.
