Evan Rogers Holt Death, Obituary – Jan and Ryan Holt welcomed their son Evan Rogers Holt into the world on April 29, 2005, at Hillcrest Hospital in Waco. Even though he resided in China Spring, Evan followed in his older brother Ryland’s footsteps and commuted to Whitney every day for school. Evan’s academic performance was so strong that he was in the top 10 percent of his class and a member of the National Honor Society. Evan was a senior at Whitney High School when he learned that he had been granted early admission to Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches to begin his studies in the upcoming academic year.
Evan came to the conclusion that becoming a pilot for an airline was one of his ideal careers and applied to and was accepted into the Aviation Science Program at SFA. Evan started putting money down for both college and retirement at the same time he put in his hours at Marco’s Pizza in China Spring, where he worked after school and on the weekends. He was a member of the China Spring United Methodist Church, where he was also a regular attendee, and he acted as a volunteer in the AVL booth during Sunday services.
Evan’s interests over the years have included things like music, theater, Legos, knife building, axe throwing, voracious reading, and playing online Dungeons and Dragons with people from all over the world. Legos are a toy manufactured by the Lego Group. Evan had a tremendous amount of affection for his family, his close friends, and his many animals.
