Peter Borns Death, Obituary – It is with a heavy heart that we must notify you of the demise of Mr. Peter “John” Borns, who had been a teacher at Davenies in the past. Our condolences go out to his family and friends. We do it with a heavy heart, but unfortunately, there is no other way to proceed. On Friday, January 6, 2019, when Mr. Borns was peacefully resting, he transitioned peacefully into the life that came after this one. He no longer lives. Mr. Borns spent the entirety of his teaching career, which was an astoundingly long 39 years, working at Davenies in a variety of capacities, including as a games coach, a form teacher, a teacher of physical education, a teacher of history, a teacher of geography, the head of design and technology, and so on and so forth.
His career at Davenies spanned the gamut from elementary school to high school to college to adult education. His teaching career was the longest in the annals of the profession throughout its entire existence. Because he only left the company about nine years ago, many of the people who are still employed there worked with him, and they have wonderful memories of him as a knowledgeable, friendly, and good-humored coworker. Because he only left the company about nine years ago, many of the people who are still employed there worked with him. This is due to the fact that he only recently handed in his resignation, which occurred somewhere in the vicinity of nine years ago.
Even as recently as the school year prior to the one in which you are currently enrolled, he served as the quizmaster for the annual FoDs quiz, and there will be a generation, or even two, of young men who will benefit from his leadership and instruction both inside the classroom and outside of it on the athletic field. Because he was the quizmaster for the annual FoDs competition, it is conceivable that a fair percentage of the parents were already familiar with him. This is because the competition was held every year.
