Pauline Barker Death, Obituary – On January 17, 2023, Pauline Barker Jones, who had been a resident of Mount Holly, North Carolina throughout her life, passed away. She had 93 years under her belt. The news of her passing has left her family inconsolable and they are saddened to convey it. Her parents, John and Laura (Bryant) Barker, welcomed their daughter Pauline into the world on April 30th, 1929. Pauline’s middle name was Bryant. Lincoln County was her home while she was growing up, and she received her secondary education at Rock Springs High School in Denver, North Carolina. She received her diploma from the institution.

She was one of the proprietors of Mount Holly Farm Supply, which is located in Mount Holly, North Carolina, and they have just recently celebrated their 70th year in business. When she was younger, she was an active participant in the life of the Westview Presbyterian Church, where she was a member. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Jones; her sister, Beatrice Sherrill; her brothers, Bud Barker and Lewis Barker; and her son-in-law, Doug Painter. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband. While she was still a young child, both of her parents passed away.

Pauline was a very devoted mother and grandmother to her children and grandkids. She loved spending time with both of these generations. Her children Teressa Jones Painter and Eric Jones (and his wife Kim), her grandchildren Brittany Hunt (and her husband Parker), Taylor Jones (and their spouses Trey and Sam), Haley Jones (and their spouses Sam and Kristen), as well as her sister Barbara Rumple (and her husband Richard) of Iron Station, as well as her sisters-in-law Lois Barker of Lowesville, Betty Marble (and their spouses Fred and Don), Helen Killian (and their spouses Don), and The memorial service will be a solemn family gathering that will take place at the cemetery.
