Norman Arlott Death, Obituary – We are sorry to tell you of the demise of Norman Arlott, a well-respected bird and wildlife artist located in the United Kingdom. Arlott was also the primary illustrator for the Sasol Birds of Southern Africa book, which was a huge commercial success. The majority of the pictures that were published in earlier editions of Struik Nature books, such as Birds of Africa south of the Sahara (which was altered in 2010) and Birds of the Indian Ocean Islands, were crafted by Norman, who was the primary contributor artist at the time (revised 2013).
On the other hand, his work has been published in more than 150 magazines across a variety of countries, which exemplifies the breadth and reach of his influence. The illustrated works that Norman has produced are of the greatest grade and have had a significant influence, both favorably and negatively, on people’s comprehension of nature and their appreciation of the natural world. After receiving his initial education as a mechanical engineer, Norman made the decision in the 1970s to switch professions and pursue his true passion as a wildlife artist, concentrating primarily on birds.
