
Michael Gagne Obituary, Death – On January 14, 2023, Michael A. Gagne, 69, of Berlin, New Hampshire, passed away at home with family by his side. He was a longtime resident of Berlin, New Hampshire where he was born on October 13, 1953 as the son of the late Antonio and Estelle (Gagnon) Gagne. He graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1971 along with the rest of his class. Mike had worked at the local paper mill as a security dispatcher, the Wildcat Mountain Ski Area, and finally UPS for 23 years. He enjoyed playing the drums, piano, and guitar. He had performed with local bands throughout the years, including Central Station, Granite, Level 10, and Sun Down. He married Cynthia Dupuis, his true love, in 1980.
Along with motorcycle riding and working outside with his wife Cindy, he always treasured the time he got to spend with his grandchildren. He loved their lovely pool that they had created together. Mike, who had a certificate in motorcycle and small engine repair, had previously worked for Louis Catello and Eddie Renaud at Renaud’s Motorcycle Shop. He had worked at the Notre Dame Arena in Berlin and also held certificates in arena operations and as a trained ice technician. He loved going camping and fishing, and he had an ice rink built at his house for the kids to use. He loved helping his boys with home improvement tasks once he retired.
His wife Cynthia (Dupuis) Gagne of Berlin; his sons Derrick Gagne and his wife Sally of West Milan, NH; Antonio Gagne and his wife Emily of Gilmanton Iron Works, NH; and Zachary Gagne and his wife Sally of Berlin; also included in the family are Derrick Gagne’s grandchildren Ben, Elliot, Bailey, Sawyer, and Madilyn Gagne; and his siblings Gus Gagne of Londonderry, NH and his partner Jane Both his father-in-law Romeo Dupuis Sr. and his grandson Calvin Michael Gagne predeceased him.
