
Michael Bernard Death, Obituary – Michael Bernard Emch Jr., 47 years old, a resident of Irvine, was recognized by the authorities as the individual who was shot and killed by police in Seal Beach on Monday evening. At approximately 9:35 p.m. on Monday, officers responded to the 100 block of Old Ranch Road “regarding a suspicious person in front of a residence,” according to the report from the Seal Beach Police Department. According to a statement released by the police department, “Officers met the individual outside of the residence. The subject pulled a gun, and an officer-involved gunshot occurred.” After the shots were fired, the policemen immediately began performing CPR on the subject in order to try and save his life.
After being taken to the hospital, Emch is alleged to have passed away there, according to the police. According to the police, a handgun was found at the scene, and they added that no cops were wounded in the incident. According to the statements made by the police department, “The Orange County District Attorney’s Office responded to commence the investigation into the circumstances of the officer-involved shooting.” “In addition, officers from the Seal Beach Police Department’s Detective Division and Internal Affairs Division came to the scene.” An investigator named Matt Miller from the Orange County District Attorney’s Office was out canvassing the housing complex where the shooting took place on Tuesday morning.
