Matthew Shrock Car Accident, Resident Of Glasgow KY Has Died - Death

Matthew Shrock Obituary, Death – On the afternoon of Friday, January 13, 2023, shortly after 12:30 p.m., officers from Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green responded to a collision that resulted in a fatality in Barren County. The location of the crash, which occurred at the crossroads of KY-90 (Happy Valley Road) and Harry King Road, drew the attention of state police officers.
According to the findings of the preliminary investigation, Robert E. Purcell, 74, of Louisville was driving a 2023 Chevrolet commercial vehicle westbound on KY-90 near the intersection of Harry King road. Unknown factors led to the vehicle driven by Purcell to cross the center dividing line and enter the path of vehicles traveling in the opposite direction.

A head-on collision occurred when a vehicle driven by Purcell collided with a pickup truck driven by Matthew Webb, 48, of Bonnieville. Webb was operating a 2016 Chevrolet. The Barren County Coroner’s Office arrived at the site and determined that both Robert Purcell and Matthew Webb were died there and then. Matthew E. Shrock, 37, a resident of Munfordville, was a passenger in the vehicle driven by Webb. He was taken to T.J. Sampson Hospital in Glasgow and then to Tri-Star Skyline Medical Center in Nashville after the collision. Unfortunately, the injuries he sustained in the collision proved fatal, and he was pronounced dead at the latter facility.

Trooper Michael Wathen is in charge of leading the investigation at this point. Barren County Emergency Medical Services, the Barren County Sheriff’s Office, the Barren County Coroner, and members from the Kentucky State Police aided him at the scene.
