Matthew Clemson Obituary, Death – Matthew Clemson, who resided in Phillips Exeter Academy Student, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2019, at the age of forty. His funeral was held on Friday, November 9, 2019. A life that is deserving of being celebrated and remembered! He is the cherished child of Greenville natives Francis and Sheela Freeland as well as Sharon and Paul Hrabovsky. He was born there. His parents met in Greenville.

Matthew attended Clemson University for a total of four years to earn his Bachelor of Science degree, which he earned in the fields of Agriculture and Applied Economics. He was in charge of everything that went on behind the scenes at the Bimini’s Oyster Bar and Seafood Café, which was a restaurant that his family owned. Matthew was an avid sportsman who loved the games played by the Clemson Tigers and the Atlanta Braves, as well as golfing, fishing, and watching baseball. He was a faithful member of the Taylors First Baptist Church and frequently attended Sunday services there.

Matthew is survived by his two sisters, Emily Hrabovsky and Abby Valdez (Ventura), both of Atlanta, Georgia; his grandparents Dorothy Hrabovsky and Don and Essie Simmons of Anderson, South Carolina; and a large number of aunts, uncles, and cousins. In addition, Matthew is survived by his two sisters, Emily Hrabovsky and Abby Valdez (Ventura), both of Atlanta, Georgia. Both Emily Hrabovsky and Abby Valdez (Ventura) call Atlanta, Georgia, home as their primary residence. Matthew Freeland was predeceased by his older brother Francis “Benji” Benjamin Freeland, as well as by his grandparents Manning and Josephine Freeland and Doris and Jerry Colonna.
