Mark Stokes Obituary, Death – This is a letter to inform you of the passing of Mark Stokes, who was a colleague of ours in the field of psychology up until not too long ago. His passing has been brought to our attention by this letter. He passed away not too long ago. I am sorry to inform you that he has left us, and I am writing you this letter to share the news. It was a week ago to the day when he passed away on the very same day. He was elected in 2015, but prior to that, he had spent the two years before that heroically fighting an aggressive form of illness.
He eventually won the battle with cancer and went on to win the election. During that time, he did not make any sounds or gestures that could have been construed as signs of depression, such as murmuring or making other facial expressions. We will always remember him as someone who had a tremendously generous personality, who was always able to find the best in other people and in situations, who was a highly engaging and well-liked instructor, who was an accomplished neuroscientist, and who was always able to spread joy and laughter wherever he went as a result of his contagious sense of humor.
We will always remember him as someone who had a tremendously generous personality, who was always able to find the best in other people and in situations, He will be sorely missed by everyone. We are going to miss having him here with us. In the days leading up to his passing, he devoted a significant amount of his attention to contemplating New College, an establishment that he regarded as near and dear to his heart and that occupied a unique place in his life. The following was a common way for him to say goodbye to the rest of the world: “I depart this wild planet with much love in my heart.” During this trying time, we want his family, friends, and coworkers to know that we are thinking about them and praying for them. We want them to know that they are in our thoughts and prayers. Please accept our condolences.
