He was transported to the Royal Stoke University Hospital for his care.
Unfortunately, he was not able to recover from his wounds and passed away in the Hartshill complex three days after the incident that injured him. In an interview with NorthWalesLive, Dad Wil shared his emotions by stating, “I am completely crushed and devastated by Macauley’s demise.” Not only was he my son, but he was also my best friend and my business partner. He was all of those things for me. He was a young man who never stopped grinning and laughing, and he had a significant amount of excitement and love for machinery from a reasonably early age. Because of these qualities, I will miss him more than I could ever adequately express in words.

When Carys made this statement, she was talking to the longing and the sadness that would never go away. I am overjoyed with all of his achievements as well as the person that he has matured into being throughout the course of his life. I take great pride in being able to name myself his mommy.
