
Lorelei Bushnell Obituary, Death – On May 28, 2021, Harold “Wayne” Steed, who was 71 years old and originally from Bushnell, Florida, passed away in Ocala. On January 23, 1950, he was welcomed into the world in Hernando County, Florida, by his parents, Walter and Myrtle Steed. He was a patriotic veteran of the United States Navy who served his country honorably during the Vietnam War. He adhered to the beliefs of the Baptists. He spent his free time with his brothers fishing, racing RC vehicles, gardening, and just hanging out with them. His sons are those who carry on his legacy. Wayne (Lisa) Steed and Eddie (Keri) Hendershot of Ocala, Florida; grandchildren: Brittany, Chelsea, Courtney, Lucas, and Isaiah; great granddaughter:
Lorelei, who affectionately called him “Pops”; brothers: Don (Diane) Steed of Floral City, Florida; Larry Steed of Floral City, Florida; Elwyn Steed of Floral City, Florida; and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family members. His parents, Gerald and Myrtle Steed, as well as his wife, Marie Steed, passed away before he did. His brother, Jerry Steed, also died before him. Visitation will be held at Purcell Funeral Home Chapel from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM on the day of the service, which is scheduled to take place at Florida National Cemetery on June 2, 2021. The service will be officiated by Pastor Larry Steed. Purcell Funeral Home in Bushnell, Florida, has been entrusted with the care of the arrangements.
