Lisa Viola Obituary, Death – On Saturday, January 14, 2023, at her home in Elverson, Lisa Viola passed away following a brief bout with sickness. Lisa Viola was the surviving spouse of the late Albert P. Viola, who was married to Albert. She was the third of five children to be born to Raymond and Anna (Wingloski) Chernesky, and she was the one who was delivered at home on Apple Street in Pottstown on February 2, 1938.
Lisa Viola attended Pottstown High School and Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in Pottstown throughout her formative years. She went on to graduate from Pottstown High School. When Lisa Viola retired in 1995 from her job at Doehler-Jarvis in Stowe, she held the role of Customer Service Manager after having worked there for a number of years. Before beginning her employment at the Watson McDaniel Company in Norristown, Lisa Viola earned a certification as a medical assistant, and she also spent some time working as a research assistant in Collegeville.
Recent experience for Nancy includes time spent working at Reading Berks Physical Therapy. Lisa Viola was very involved in the community, especially at St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church, where she was a lector. She was involved with the homeowners association at the Elverson Summerfield subdivision, where she lived, and she was in charge of keeping the community center calendar updated.
Lisa Viola was not hesitant to try new things or take on new challenges, as evidenced by the fact that she flew to the Bahamas in a private jet, flew a glider plane in Elverson, tree hopped in a Piper Cub, and parasailed in the Caribbean during the spring of last year. She enjoyed reading, spending time with her children and grandkids, and going to local casinos with her friends and family to try to “beat the house” on occasion. She was happiest when she was doing all three.
