Leanne Elliott Obituary, Death – The sad news that Leanne Elliott, who was a resident of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, has passed away has left us all with heavy hearts. Elliott, who lived in Gettysburg and served as a deacon at Trindle Spring Lutheran Church, lost his battle with illness and went away suddenly. Her passing has left those who were closest to her, including her family, friends, and the congregation of her church, in a state of sadness.
The tragic news that a great young woman named Leanne Elliott had passed away in a vehicle accident on Friday afternoon was the first thing I heard when I woke up yesterday.
Leanne served as the Director of Children and Youth Ministries at Grace Lutheran in Westminister, Maryland, before becoming a Deacon at Trindle Springs Lutheran church in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. Prior to that, she served as a Deacon at Trindle Springs. While Grace and I were residing in Maryland, we were both members of this particular church. She was fantastic with the children, and she made it a point to attend their sporting events, musical performances, and any other activities that were important to them. She have such a great capacity for love.
In May, Leanne completed her studies at the Seminary. At the end of October, she was ordained, and very recently, she and her boyfriend purchased a home and began to make it their home. Her future seemed promising, and she had the rest of her life in front of her. I had the privilege of witnessing her Ordination as well as the celebration that followed, and I was astounded by the number of people that made the trip in order to attend and honor her. She had a very unique personality and will be sorely missed by a great number of people.
