Lawrence Venne Death, Obituary – At the time of his passing at 11:32 p.m. on January 10, 2023, Lawrence Venne’ Jr. had lived for 82 years. On December 29, 1940, Lawrence was born as the eldest of six children in Tomahawk, Wisconsin. His siblings were named Sam, Claudia, Henry, Richard, and Diane. Lawrence was the oldest of the six children. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, Lawrence Venne and Grace Venne, as well as his sister Diane and his brother Rick, who was the youngest of the Venne brothers. He was a scholar par excellence, graduating from Bishop Duffy High School in Niagara Falls, New York, in 1958 as the school’s valedictorian.

Later in life, he would enlist in the United States Navy, and throughout those 21 years, he would devote his entire life to defending our country. He was fluent in the Russian language. His time in the military took him all over the world, including stops in Vietnam, Japan, Alaska, Turkey, Spain, and Germany. He eventually settled down at Goodfellow Air Force base, where he remained until his retirement in April of 1979. Lawrence met the woman who would become his wife of nearly 46 years, Prezi Venne’, while he was serving in the military in 1976.

Soon after, on March 4, 1977, they tied the knot, and they would go on to have two sons together: Patrick Venne and Nathan Venne. His son Patrick bestowed upon Lawrence and Prezi two grandchildren, Zekial Venne and Courtney Venne, both of whom were deeply cherished in their hearts by the grandparents. After he retired from the United States Navy, he and his wife did a lot of traveling together all over the world.

As a result, he was an experienced traveler. After he reached the end of his professional life and retired, Lawrence devoted the rest of his life to the study of his Hebrew ancestry and his affection for the Jewish people. This is not a farewell to our dearly loved friend, husband, brother, father, and grandfather, sunlight; we will see you very soon. We would want to express our gratitude to the paramedics, physicians, and nurses who attended to him in the emergency room and intensive care unit during his final hours of life.
