Kirsten Acker Obituary, Salem NH, has died - Death

Kirsten Acker Obituary, Death – Kirsten Acker, 81, died January 17, 2023. He had retired from the Firestone Tire & Rubber Company, where he had worked for the previous 40 years prior to taking his retirement, and he had resided in Stow for the preceding 43 years. In addition to that, he was a veteran who had fought in the United States Navy throughout both World War II and the Korean War. He had been a part of the navy during both of those conflicts.

Acker was very involved in the activities of the Riverwood Community Chapel, the Acker-Moore Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4738, and the North Hill AARP 2249. Mr. Acker was a member of both of these organizations, and his membership in both of them was valid for life. He was known for being a family man who was devoted to his responsibilities as well as caring toward his loved ones. Two of his favorite activities were bowling and golf.

His wife Nora, with whom he shared 61 years of marriage, his daughter Colleen and her husband Eric Thompson of Solon, his son Don and his wife Sue Acker of Stow, his grandchildren Dan (Andrea) Thompson, Tim Thompson, Patty (Cyle) Young, Troy and Kristen Acker, Ben and Joe Barker, and his brother Loren Acker are some of the people who will carry on his legacy after his passing. Grandson Kyle Acker, who was only a little child when he passed away, and his sister Ruth Bishop both passed away before he did.
