
Kevin Baker Obituary, Death – Kevin Baker, originally from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, passed away on July 31, 2021. He was born on December 7, 1982. Kevin was born in Greenwich, Connecticut, on December 7th, 1982. Soon after that, his family relocated to Farmington Hills in the state of Michigan. Kevin spent his childhood in Southeastern Michigan and had a strong passion for athletics.
He was a catcher for many Farmington baseball teams, played golf for Southfield Christian School (where he graduated in 2000), and skied all across the United States and Canada. He was born and raised in Farmington. He skied at the “black diamond” level (highly skilled). Kevin is a graduate of Michigan State University, where he focused his studies on business. He left Michigan State University early in order to pursue a career in the commercial real estate industry, and he began his professional life working for Signature Associates in Southfield.
Michigan. During the course of his journey, he made investments in residential real estate. In 2010, he began working with Landmark Assoc. in Farmington Hills, where he continued his career. Kevin started off by selling individual tenant leases and eventually worked his way up to selling entire shopping complexes. He was one of the original founders of Landmark Investment Services. Kevin and a group of hand-picked investors were working together to construct Delta Crossing in Lansing, Michigan, which would become the largest mixed-use complex in the Midwestern United States.
Kevin was responsible for a variety of responsibilities, including leasing, development, contractor work, financing, and community engagement work. Kevin was killed on July 31st, 2021 in Miami, Florida, after he was involved in a car accident. After EMS and the local hospital in Miami attempted to provide him with life support, he ultimately passed away due to multiple injuries. Hayra Barbosa Baker, Kevin’s current and past wives, as well as his son and stepson, are among those who will miss him after his passing (names being withheld due to the Florida Highway Patrol investigation).
In addition, Kevin is survived by his brothers, Scott and Brendan; his sisters, Emily (Jeff) Fain and Melissa (Mark) Rentfroe; and both of his parents, Sarah Baker and John Baker. In addition to his own mother and father, he is survived by his grandparents, Mary Baker and Jim (Barbara) Buhr.
