John Meisenburg Obituary, Man dies in a fatal fire at Secaucus apartment

John Meisenburg Obituary, Death – According to a statement issued by the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office, John Meisenburg, 72 years old, passed suddenly at a Secaucus residence after suffering fatal injuries in a fire that occurred overnight. At around 11:53 o’clock in the evening, the Secaucus Police Department was told that there was a fire at 220 Meadow Lane, which was the address of Meisenburg’s residence at the time. When the Secaucus Fire Department got to the scene, they discovered a large amount of smoke and fire within an apartment unit located on the second floor.

According to the findings of an initial investigation conducted by the Hudson County Regional Arson Task Force, the fire started in an apartment located on the second floor, while a unit located on the third floor sustained significant smoke damage. At this point, there does not appear to be anything unusual about the incident, but the inquiry into what caused it will continue. According to a story that was distributed by CBS New York, one of the victims was discovered unconscious on the second floor.

He was taken to Hudson Regional Hospital, where in the morning of Monday, January 16, 2023, at 2:52 a.m., it was announced that he had passed away. The Hudson County Regional Arson Task Force along with the Secaucus Fire Department and the Secaucus Police Department are currently conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
