John Hawkins Death, Obituary – Artscape will hold a memorial service for John Hawkins, who was once the theater manager at that location. John Hawkins lost his life after a brief bout with illness, and the news of his passing was welcomed with profound sadness from all of us. We all deeply grieve his passing. Marlene le Roux, the Chief Executive Officer of Artscape, praised John for his unyielding dedication to the arts in her praiseworthy remarks. For decades, John worked at Artscape, and throughout that time, he became an indispensable element of the staff there.
It was common knowledge that he had a deep appreciation and fondness for the arts, and it was well known that he took a keen interest in the shows that were performed on our stages. He finally put up his clipboard and retired after a lifetime of duty at Artscape, where he was beloved for his even temper and kind manner. He was known for his lifetime of service. He was well-known to a sizeable portion of our clientele as well as other stakeholders in our organization.
We would like to convey my heartfelt condolences, along with those of the employees here at Artscape, to his family, friends, and loved ones who have died away recently. I am very sorry for your loss.
