John Hamilton Obituary, Death – The passing of John “Jack” Hamilton has left the West Adelaide Football Club, as well as all of its former players and officials, in a state of profound grief. Jack was a member of the club from 1950 to 1957 and took part in a total of 125 games during that time, including 19 League contests. Not only did Jack have a fruitful playing career, but after he retired he also committed a large portion of his time to philanthropic work. This is in addition to the fact that Jack had a great playing career. spanned the club for the better part of a quarter of a century’s worth of service.

Jack played his last season in 1957, and he concluded it on a high note by receiving the title for Best and Fairest in the Reserves. As a volunteer, he made a significant contribution by serving in roles such as Reserves Trainer from 1959 to 1961, Reserves Committee from 1967 to 1968, Reserves Chairman from 1969 to 1970, League Committee from 1970 to 1972, and Past Players & Officials Secretary in 1969. In addition, he was Past Players & Officials Secretary in 1969. Additionally, he served as the organization’s secretary in the year 1969. In addition to that, for the entire decade of the 1960s, he was an indispensable member of the band the Past Players.

In the year 2021, Jack was recognized for his contributions by being awarded a Life Membership.
