Jessica Santos Obituary, UTV turns over, kills Keaau woman - Death

Jessica Santos Death, Obituary – A single-vehicle rollover accident that occurred in Keaau on Friday evening resulted in the death of a 42-year-old woman, according to the Hawaii Island police who investigated the incident. Jessica Santos, a resident of Pahoa, has been identified by the police as the person who was hurt in the incident. On Aulii Street, near to where it connects with 41st Avenue, law enforcement officials arrived at about ten o’clock in the evening to investigate a report of suspicious activity.

The investigation revealed that five women were traveling southbound on 41st Avenue in a Polaris Utility Terrain Vehicle (UTV) when the vehicle made a wide left turn onto Aulii Street, lost control, and rolled over. The incident was reported to the authorities. There were three adult women and two youngsters traveling together as passengers. The driver of the vehicle was not responsive when emergency personnel arrived at the scene of the accident. According to the police, Santos was transported to Hilo Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead immediately after arrival.

Despite the efforts of the medical staff, she did not survive. The family has asked for an autopsy to be performed so that they can determine the official cause of death. Reports indicate that one of the toddlers sustained very minor injuries that did not require any more medical attention at the scene of the incident. The driver, passenger, and third passenger in the vehicle did not sustain any injuries in any way.

The investigation conducted by the police has led them to conclude that the incident was caused by a combination of reasons, including both speed and a failure to pay attention.
