Jacquelynn Hawthorne Death, Obituary – My sister in LAAAWPAC, Ms. Jacquelynn Hawthorne, died away not too long ago, and after receiving the news, I have been left in a position of tremendous and profound grief as a result of hearing the news. Ms. Jackie, as I affectionately referred to her, was a political mentor to a significant number of Black women who lived in and around the Greater Los Angeles Area, including myself. She was also a mentor to a number of Black men. She also served as a guide and advisor to a number of African-American men. I will never forget the radiant grin that Ms. Jackie had because she was such a wonderful example of Black greatness and how to live a life of service, and also because I will never forget her.
She will be engraved in my memory for the rest of my life. I would like the Hawthorne family to know that I am thinking about them during this difficult time of loss and suffering, and that my condolences are being sent their way. I hope that they will accept my words and know that I am thinking of them. Please acknowledge this as an honest reflection of the thoughts and prayers that I have been thinking and praying. Rest well Ms. Jackie.
