George Marchett Death, Obituary – We are all in a state of tremendous sadness today as a result of hearing about the passing of the much-loved member of the Green Gully club, George Marchett. After beginning his tenure with our organization as a masseuse for the senior team, George went on to serve as Team Manager for a long amount of time spanning nine years. During that time, he was in charge of the organization. George was our club’s assistant for a significant portion of time during his tenure here. During the time that George worked for us, he was an integral part of many of our achievements, including our titles as Victoria Premier League champions in 1999, 2000, 2003, and 2005.
In addition to this, George was a passionate volunteer who never stopped doing everything in his power to aid the club in achieving success and increasing its reach. George was a member of the club for many years. The news that George has passed away has left us in absolute disbelief, and we would be grateful if you could spare a thought for the loved ones he has left behind, especially his family and friends. We are devastated by the news that George is no longer with us. Because of George’s exemplary morality and unwavering commitment, we will be grateful to him for all of eternity. I pray that he is at peace for all eternity.
Our flags will be flown at half-mast from this point forward and until further notice in order to demonstrate that Green Gully is in a state of mourning. The notice of the funeral arrangements will be placed on this page in a short while.
