Colton Hill Obituary, Death – The Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office said that a plane crash that occurred on Wednesday in southeast Nebraska claimed the lives of two men. Nemaha County dispatch received a call at approximately 11 o’clock at night regarding a missing small plane that had left Lincoln in the direction of an airport east of Auburn. The sheriff’s office reports that the airplane never came back to Lincoln as scheduled, despite the fact that it was expected to do so.
Eventually, deputies located the wreckage of an airplane approximately one mile south of the Auburn airport. Both occupants, a 24-year-old man from Kearney named Colton Hill and a 41-year-old man from Valparaiso named Dustan Biegler, were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. An inquiry into what caused the incident will now be carried out by both the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board.
Colton had previously attended the University of Nebraska in Kearney, where he studied aviation and participated in baseball. In 2022, he received his diploma. In a press release, the university expressed their “sincere sympathies” to Colton’s family and friends. “The UNK family expresses our heartfelt condolences,” “Colton was a well-known face around campus, as well as in the aviation communities of Kearney and UNK.” We shall miss having him around. We are sorry for your loss and feel your sorrow alongside you.
