
Chester Collins Obituary, Death – The Reverend Chester “Chet” Collins, who was 77 years old and lived in Gaylord, Michigan, passed away not too long ago, and our Diocese is incredibly saddened to inform everyone of his passing. On the 10th of January, 2023, Father Chet passed away, and he ascended to heaven to be with his Lord and Savior. The day of the week that he passed away was a Tuesday. On a Tuesday, the event that ultimately resulted in his passing took place. Tuesday was the day that the tragedy that would ultimately lead to his death took place.
A visitation for the deceased will be held today, Monday, January 16, at the Nelson Funeral Home in Gaylord, which is located at 135 N. Center Avenue.
The visitation will begin at four in the afternoon and continue until eight in the evening. Visitation will begin at St. Mary Cathedral on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 (tomorrow) at 10 a.m. and continue until the beginning of Mass at 11 a.m. Visitation will continue until the commencement of Mass. The visitation will continue right up until the beginning of the mass. Visitation will continue as usual until the beginning of Mass at 11 a.m., at which point it will terminate until the following day.
The celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Mary, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cathedral on Tuesday, January 17 (tomorrow) at eleven o’clock in the morning. The Most Reverend Jeffrey J. Walsh will preside over the celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial. A funeral service in the form of a Christian mass will be held in remembrance of a family member or friend who passed away recently. The memorial service or funeral will be held in honor of the dead individual, whose presence will be mourned and remembered with fondness.
