Laquan Rich-Cabbagestalk, who was 13 years old at the time, was playing video games with Jones and two other individuals when a witness told the police that they heard a gunshot. Jones was also there throughout the incident. According to the testimony, Rich-Cabbagestalk informed the witness, “I shot him.”

Rich-Cabbagestalk reportedly apologized for shooting Jones and claimed that he was the one who pulled the trigger, as stated by the testimony of a further eyewitness. The witnesses gave the police their information. Rich-Cabbagestalk bolted from the scene, and law enforcement officers later found a firearm in the vicinity of the direction in which he had run after exiting the residence. The direction in which he had run was toward the direction in which he had fled. It has been determined that Rich-Cabbagestalk should be apprehended, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Both the charge of negligent homicide and the charge of possession of a firearm by a person under the age of 21 are being investigated against him. Rich-Cabbagestalk was recognized as a student in the Clairton City School District, which is where the investigation began. The message that was released by the school administration stated that classes for today would be canceled “due to a tragedy that occurred in our town.”
