Carol Fennelly Obituary, Death – Carol Fennelly, 85 years old, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at her home in Davenport, Iowa, surrounded by her family. Funeral services are scheduled to take place at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at 11 a.m. On Wednesday, visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. and continue until the time of the ceremony. Davenport’s Mount Calvary Cemetery will be the location of the interment. Donations to the Handicapped Development Center, Davenport Junior Theatre, or Genesis Hospice can be made in lieu of flowers. On January 26, 1937, Carol Marie Dreier was brought into the world by her parents, Dorothy and Henry Dreier. On June 16, 1956, she wed Bill Fennelly and became Mrs. Fennelly. The 11th of December, 2019, he passed away before she did.
Carol was a devoted wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all who knew her. She cherished her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and centered her life on them. Her and her husband, Bill, kept their door open for visitors at all times, and they delighted in the everyday presence of her children. Carol had a strong passion for shopping, and she was constantly on the lookout for the next amazing deal and new ways to reward her grandchildren.
Carol is survived by her husband Bill and her four children: Pat (Kelley), Mike (Ann), and Kelly (Dave) Coiner, all of Davenport; her niece Kathy (Gene) Schwarz; her grandchildren: Megan (Mike) Rieck, Billy (Lyndsey), Michelle (Nick) Gibbs, Steven (Andrea), Tyler (Stefanie) Coiner, Trevor, Jake (Abbey), Zachary Coiner, Kate (Gabe) Lorack
