Bryon Perry Obituary, Death – On May 9, 2022, Byron Lee Perry lost his battle with cancer and passed away after a brief and fruitless fight against the disease. Visitation is scheduled for the afternoon of Friday, May 20, 2022, from 1 to 2 p.m., and will take place at the Cedar Rapids site of Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services. After this, there will be a parade to the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Cedar Rapids for a graveside service where military honors will be presented.

On June 20, 1944, Byron was born in the city of Cedar Rapids, which is located in the state of Iowa. Kenneth L. Perry and Pearl C. Melchior were his father and mother, respectively. During the Vietnam War, he had served his country on board the USS Oriskany, which was a ship of the United States Navy. Carpentry was Byron’s area of expertise, and he was an extraordinarily accomplished craftsman who excelled in the profession.

He looked forward to getting together with his friends and chatting about work every chance he got. When Byron was younger, going on trips on his Harley Davidson motorcycle was one of his favorite ways to pass the time. His parents, his brother Kenny, his baby son Eric, and his nephew Mike Johnson all perished away before he did. He was the last surviving member of his family. He proceeded in the same manner as them. His son Patrick Byron Perry, his sister Celestine Johnson, and quite a few of Byron’s nieces and nephews are among the people who will carry on after him.
