Bill Noonan Obituary, Former Member The Abilene Fire Department Has Died - Death

Bill Noonan Death, Obituary – In view of the horrible tragedy that has befallen William “Bill” Noonan’s family, the members of the Abilene Fire Department would like to take this opportunity to offer their most sincere sympathies to them. Bill was a wonderful friend to AFD, and we are going to miss having him around for both of those reasons. Additionally, we are going to miss having Bill around. In his capacity as an architect, he made significant contributions to the city of Abilene’s Fire Stations 3, 4, and 7 during the process of planning, designing, and constructing these facilities.

In spite of the fact that he always greeted everyone with a warm and friendly grin, he was unflinching in his commitment to preserving the highest possible degree of professionalism. We are indebted to Bill for all that he has done for the Abilene Fire Department and for our city, and we pray that God will grant his family the serenity and the fortitude they need to get through this difficult time. During the years that I was the Chief of the Lubbock Fire Department, Bill was also involved in the planning and construction of a number of fire stations. These stations were built during the time that I was Chief.

During those years, I served as the head of the division. The news of his passing comes as a complete and utter shock, and it breaks my heart to think about it. Our prayers are focused on bringing about peace in the world as well as consolation for those who are experiencing suffering.
