
Baxter Wareham Obituary, Death – An unforeseen car crash claimed the life of Michael Rocco Baxter, 61, who resided in East Wareham. The tragedy occurred on September 20, 2019. He was the son of Howard C. and Pauline (Vicino) Baxter, both of whom had passed away before his birth in Compton, California. He has lived in Bourne for a very long time and received his high school diploma from there in the year 1975.
Mike’s most recent job was with a biotechnology business on Cape Cod called Associates of Cape Cod, which is located in Falmouth. Mike enjoyed life. The great outdoors, specifically fishing and kayaking, as well as monster trucks and pedaling his bike along the Cape Cod Canal were all things he enjoyed doing in his spare time. He was well-liked for his wry sense of humor as well as his passion for music, particularly that of Hootie and the Blowfish and The Beatles.
His fiancee, Cathleen Elicier of Wareham, his son and “Buddy for Life” Michael R. Baxter, Jr. of Wareham, his daughters Heather Beers-DiMarzo and her husband Dean of Bourne and Sgt. Gina Marie Baxter, U.S. Army of Ft. Drum, NY, his step-son Ryan Elicier of Wareham, his brother Dale Baxter of Mashpee, his four grandchildren, Brenda Kathleen Baxter, Michael’s ex-wife, is also one of the people he leaves behind. His sister, Pam Baxter Drolette, as well as his grandparents, Irene and Rocco Vicino, passed away before he did. He was the last surviving member of his family. A memorial ceremony will be held on the morning of Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at 11:00 AM at Church of the Good Shepherd located at High Street in Wareham.
