
Andrew Dusek Obituary, Death – Andrew Dusek hails from the state of Minnesota. On January 14, 2015, at Providence Medical Center, she passed away peacefully and went to be with the Lord. Visitation will begin at one o’clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at the Highland Park Funeral Home and Crematory, and the funeral services will begin at two o’clock in the afternoon. Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery will be the location of the interment.
Andrew was a native and lifelong resident of Kansas City, Kansas, where he was born. He received degrees in political science and history from Washburn University, where he also had the opportunity to study abroad throughout Europe. He graduated from Wyandotte High School and was a member of the National Honor Society. He also attended Washburn University. Andrew was a brother in the Kappa Omega Chapter of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity.
He worked for the Rock Island, Santa Fe, and Union Pacific railroad for many years before retiring and becoming a union leader. After that, he took his retirement from the United States Government where he had worked as a safety and training officer. In addition to that, Andrew served as Chairman of the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority. Andrew was an entrepreneur, political and community activist, and avid motorcyclist in addition to being a motorcycle enthusiast. His father, Andrew Dusek Sr., had passed away prior to his passing away.
Mother Dorothy L. Dusek, Daughters Dusti J. and Andrea M., Grandsons Eric J. and Devlin R. Dusek, Sisters Joyce D. Shultz (Daryl) and Debra S. (Henry Fernando) Hernandez, Nephews, Nieces, and other Relatives All Over the World Survivors include Mother Dorothy L. Dusek, Daughters Dusti J. and Andrea M., Grandsons Eric J. and Devl A.J. was an outstanding individual in the roles of father, grandpa, mentor, and friend. He will be sorely missed that words cannot express it. Arg.
