Amado Santos Death, Obituary – The victim of this homicide has been identified as Amado Santos, who was 24 years old when he passed away at the time of his death. The Medical Examiner decided that his death was a homicide, and that a gunshot wound was the cause of death. The Medical Examiner also determined that the cause of death was a gunshot wound. The Santos family has been informed of Santos’s passing away at this time. Officers from the East Precinct were dispatched to the 500 Block of Northeast 102nd Avenue on the afternoon of January 16, 2023, at about 2:45 p.m., in response to allegations that a person had been shot in that location.
The officers arrived on the scene to find a man who had been shot and was in a severe state as a result of his injuries. The individual who was injured was taken to a nearby hospital, but he ultimately succumbed to the effects of his wounds while he was being treated there. When the Medical Examiner has determined the reason and manner of death of the deceased person and after members of the immediate family of the deceased person have been informed, the identity of the person who has passed away will be made public. The Homicide Unit of the Portland Police Bureau was requested to respond to the site, and once they arrived, they took charge of the investigation and assumed leadership responsibilities.
