
Alexa Xiomara, Hernan Montes, Victor Manuel, Matteo Emmanuel, & Isabella Robledo Death, Obituary – The Mecca Coroner’s Bureau was able to identify five victims, including two children, who passed away after the vehicle in which they were driving was engaged in a collision with a semi-truck over the course of the weekend. Among the deceased were two adults and three children. It was approximately 5:15 p.m. on Saturday when the collision was reported to have taken place on 81st Avenue, which is located near to where it intersects with State Route 86. There were five people occupying a Volkswagen Jetta that was coming up on the crossing as it was located on 81st Avenue and travelling in the eastern direction.
The Volkswagen Jetta was moving forward toward the junction in the direction of travel. The California Highway Patrol reported that a semi-truck was traveling in the same direction as the other car on State Route 86 at the time of the collision. The driver of the Volkswagen failed to yield to oncoming traffic when they reached the junction, which led to the front of the semi-truck colliding with the left side of the Volkswagen, as revealed by officers from the California Highway Patrol.
