Dr. J. Alec Reinhardt Death, Obituary – On the occasion of Dr. J. Alec Reinhardt’s demise, we would like to extend to each and every one of you our deepest condolences.
Alec’s tenure with The Community Foundation covered the length of several decades of the organization’s existence. During that time period, he served the organization in a number of different capacities, including those of board member, treasurer, chair of the Finance and Investment Committee, and member of that committee for a sizeable amount of time.
He also served as chair of the organization’s board of directors. The crowning achievement of Alec’s time spent working for The Community Foundation was his election to the role of chairman of the board of directors for The Community Foundation. We will miss his wit, knowledge, compassion, and sense of humor, as well as his dedication to the Foundation and our community. He will be sorely missed by many. All of Sandy and everyone else who was close to Alec in any way is in our thoughts and prayers at this time.
We want you to know that we are thinking about you and your family and praying for all of you. Please accept our assurances. There are going to be a lot of people who lament the loss of his presence in their lives. We would want to take this opportunity to extend our gratitude to you, Alec, for everything that you have done to support such a vast number of people, including us here at The Foundation.
