Alana Richardson Obituary, Death – On January 7, 2023, Adam Matthew Kucia, age 47, a resident of Lantana, Texas, departed this world in a flash to be with Jesus at the home he had prepared for him in heaven. Adam was the child of Edward and Judith Kucia and was born on November 20th, 1975 in the city of Cleveland, Ohio. At the University of Pittsburgh, where he attended and was a part of the Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity, he received his bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and went on to become an engineer. After receiving his diploma in 1998, he made the journey to Columbus, Ohio, where he started a career that would span 21 years with Honda of America Manufacturing.
At Honda, he was fortunate enough to meet the love of his life, Carrie, and on June 26, 2009, they tied the knot on Waikiki Beach. Soon after they wed, they were blessed with three lovely daughters. Adam and his family uprooted their lives and moved to Texas in 2021 so that he could advance his career with Caterpillar Inc. in the field of Strategic Supply Chain Management. Both he and Carrie are actively involved in the local Baptist communities of Columbus, Ohio’s Northside Baptist Church and Denton, Texas’s Southmont Baptist Church. Adam possessed the ability to enliven whatever space he entered. He has a good heart. He roared with laughter.
He enjoyed every single moment of his existence. His fidelity and dedication to his wife and daughters, in which role he served as their defender and provider, were without equal. Adam had a good influence on the lives of a great number of people, both in their personal and professional spheres. He was generous in his support of others and served as a guide for a great many people. He will always be remembered for his smart wit, note-taking prowess, collaborative skills, and his way with words. His real leadership, compassionate direction, and insightful counsel will definitely be missed. Because Adam delighted in participating in God’s work and letting that joy rub off on everyone around him, he won their enduring affection.
Adam is survived by his wife Carrie Elizabeth (Miller) Kucia along with their three daughters, Scarlett Eden (11), Elizabeth Jane (8), and Rosemary Judith (6); brothers, Michael (Lori) Andrzejewski, Brian (Jennifer) Kucia, Sam (Barb) Kucia, Tony (Markie) Kucia, Ben (Jacki) Kucia, Eric (Sharon) Kucia; mother and father-in-law, Jane Ann and Lewis Miller; sister-in-law, Dorothy (Keith) Duncan; many nieces, nephews, cousins and three uncles. He was preceded in death by his sister Mary Ann Kucia as well as his parents Edward John and Judith Helen (Zehnal) Kucia.
A visitation will be conducted at 9:00 AM with a celebration of his life following at 10:00 AM on Monday, January 16, 2023 at Southmont Baptist Church, 2801 Pennsylvania Drive, Denton, TX. After the service, the burial will take place at Roselawn Memorial Park.
